Warm company and steady help, right at home.

A companion arrives at a pre-arranged time and spends the session in conversation, shared activities — such as a card game, a walk in the garden, or reading together — and simply being present. The activity outline is prepared in advance and adjusted to what your relative enjoys and finds comfortable.

An initial setup session typically runs one to two hours, depending on the devices involved and how comfortable your relative is moving through the steps. Practice sessions are shorter — around 45 minutes each — and we leave a large-print guide behind so your relative can refer back to it between visits. A refresher visit is scheduled once everything has had time to settle.

For recurring plans, errands are scheduled in advance and shared on a family calendar. For occasional or one-off runs, we ask for at least 48 hours' notice where possible so routes and timing can be arranged properly. If you have an urgent need, do call us directly and we will see what can be done.

At the end of each daytime companionship session, a brief note is sent to the family — usually a short message describing how the visit went, what activities were done, and anything worth mentioning. For errand coordination, a confirmation message is sent after each outing.

It is entirely normal for it to take a visit or two for everyone to settle in. Our companions are patient and do not push — they follow your relative's lead. If after a few visits the match does not feel right, we will talk it through and adjust the arrangement.
